TICKETS SALES FOR THIS MONTH'S UCI TRACK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS OF CYCLING REACHING NEW HIGHS

PREMIER EVENT OF THE TRACK CYCLING WORLD
COMES TO THE ADT EVENT CENTER VELODROME, MARCH 24-27

CARSON, CA (March 16, 2005) - Ticket sales for the 2005 UCI Track World Championships -- at the ADT Event Center velodrome at The Home Depot Center in Carson from March 24-27 -- have reached unprecedented highs, AEG event organizers announced today.  Considered to be the premier track cycling event in the world this year, impressive ticket sales are reflecting the importance of the event.

\"Having an event of the magnitude of the World Championships here -- not only in the U.S. but in Southern California in particular - is exciting, and the sports community has certainly embraced it,\" said Bill Peterson, The Home Depot Center's Managing Director.  \"We are anticipating that the weekend sessions will be standing room only and that our total attendance for the event will eclipse the 12,000 mark.  We sold out our VIP seats nearly a month ago and ticket sales for our reserved seats for each session are also selling well.  We are indeed looking forward to an electrifying weekend on the track and to enthusiastic and patriotic crowds watching the action in our velodrome.\"

Said Justin Apmadoc, Director of Sales and Service for AEG:  \"We've seen groups from all over North America and the world buying tickets for this event.  More importantly, the local support of this event, whether it be local cycling clubs, cycling retailers or partners like Felt Bicycles, has helped push our ticket sales to record highs.  We believe that we will end up selling nearly three times as many tickets for this event as we did for the recent World Cup.\"

The 2005 UCI Track World Championships are the third - and largest -- major track cycling event to take place at the ADT Event Center, which opened on June 10, 2004.  The second round of the 2004/05 UCI World Cup of Cycling series took place here this past December (10-12), while the Jr. Track Cycling World Championships helped open the state-of-the-art facility (July 28 - August 1, 2004).
Beginning on Thursday, March 24, more than 200 world-class cyclists will participate in 15 Championship events, six individual disciplines for men and women and three men's team events during the four days of racing as they battle for a gold medal and the right to wear the coveted rainbow jersey of World Champion.

Individual tickets for the event went on sale February 19 through Ticketmaster starting at $15.50.  For more information or to order tickets, call 1-866-LAGROUP, order online at www.aegtickets.com or contact Ticketmaster.
