The Home Depot Center promotes Kyle Waters to Vice President, Events and Operations and Kristen Anderson to Director of Event Sales

CARSON, CALIFORNIA (Friday, November 11, 2011) - The Home Depot Center, an AEG Facilities venue, today announced the promotion of two employees; formerly vice president, operations, Kyle Waters is now vice president, events and operations; and Kristen Anderson was promoted from special event sales manager to director of event sales.

\"After several years of service to The Home Depot Center, I'm pleased to announce that Kyle will be taking over all major event services and operations, as we continue to improve our backend to provide our guests, home teams and partners the highest of standards and exceptional service,\" said The Home Depot Center General Manager Katie Pandolfo. \"In addition, with her successful track record, Kristen will step into a larger role, and will manage all event programming for our facility, including both ticketed and private events.\"

Formerly vice president, operations, Waters adds all front-of-house functions to his list of responsibilities, including the events and guest services departments. Waters began his Home Depot Center career in 2003 as assistant director, turf and grounds. In the last seven years, his role has evolved to oversee the entire operations department, including turf and grounds, parking, engineering, broadcasting, security and general facility operations for the 125-acre campus in Carson, Calif. With the promotion, Waters will now oversee a full-time staff of 65 and more than 300 part-time and event-day employees.

Waters graduated with a bachelor's in landscape architecture and horticulture from Oklahoma State University, and is a member of the Sports Turf Management Association (STMA) and Sports Management Association (SMA). He has been published in turf and landscaping trade publications, including Sports Field and Facilities Management, Landscape Maintenance and Landscape Online.

Anderson started at The Home Depot Center in 2007 as the special events sales manager. In the past four years, she has booked the facility's most diverse lineup of events, including the CrossFit Games, a Sarah Palin campaign rally, and most recently, the Billy Graham Festival de Esperanza in June. Anderson received her bachelor's in business from the University of Southern California.
