The \"Doble Clasico Centroamericano\" kicks off in two weeks at The Home Depot Center

Soccer Legends from Guatemala and El Salvador to Appear at the Matches on Jan. 28

CARSON, CALIFORNIA (Wednesday, January 18, 2012) - With less than two weeks to go for the arrival of the \"Doble Clásico Centroamericano\" which will feature, for the first time in history, Guatemalan teams Comunicaciones vs. Municipal and Salvadorian teams FAS vs. Club Deportivo Águila playing on the same day at The Home Depot Center. The first Clásico game (Comunicaciones vs. Municipal) is scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 6 p.m., followed by the Salvadorian Clásico (FAS vs. Club Deportivo Águila).

According to polls, 75% of the total soccer fan base in Guatemala follows either the \"Creams\" or the \"Rojos.\" These two teams also make up for most of their respective National Team squads, and have a heated rivalry that has lasted for decades.

The same is true in El Salvador with Aguila and FAS. The \"migueleño\" Aguila team is the most popular team in the country, with 51% of the countries' fan base, closely followed by the Tigrillos of FAS.  Since the very beginning, these two teams have kept a major rivalry in El Salvador, which will now travel to the city of Los Angeles.

With the rich history behind these Clásicos, four soccer legends have been invited to serve as ambassadors of the Doble Clásico Centroamericano. The ambassadors are ex-players, now living in the United States, who brought victories and championships to their respective teams during their storied careers. These soccer legends will be present during next week's pre-game events, as well as during the matches on January 28. The legends that have been chosen as ambassadors for the matches include:

Guillermo Dubón - Ambassador for Comunicaciones
Guillermo Dubón played for Juventud Retalteca and went on to be part of the Cremas of Comunicaciones, both first division soccer teams from Guatemala. Dubón also played for the Guatemalan national soccer team. Many still remember this gifted left midfielder that was always a threat to it rivals. Dubón lived his greatest moments in Guatemalan soccer in the 1970s.

Jorge Rodas Hurtarte - Ambassador for Municipal
Jorge Rodas Hurtarte started his career in Municipal where he was a key factor for several championships. In 1996, Rodas made history by becoming the first Guatemalan player to play professionally in Major League Soccer with the San Jose Clash.

Félix Pineda - Ambassador for Club Deportivo Aguila
Félix \"La Garrobita\" Pineda is one of the most liked players in the long and storied history of Club Deportivo Aguila. Pineda played for Aguila from 1970 to 1988 and was also a part of the Salvadorian National Team for the World Cup Qualifiers in Germany (1974) and Argentina (1978).

David Arnoldo Cabrera - Ambassador for Club Deportivo FAS
David Arnoldo Cabrera dedicated his entire soccer career of 20 years to Club Deportivo FAS. Today, he is still today the greatest all-time goal scorer in the team's history, scoring a total of 242 goals in his career.

Doble Clasico Centroamericano is a doubleheader international soccer game, where the top teams from El Salvador and Guatemala will face each other for the fisrt time in Los Angeles on the same day at The Home Depot Center.
