CARSON, CALIF. (Thursday, May 15, 2014) – StubHub Center, in conjunction with Club Deportivo Guadalajara and Soccer United Marketing (SUM), today announced that Chivas will play Cruz Azul in a Liga MX preseason clash at StubHub Center on Wednesday, July 9 at 8:00 p.m. PT as part of the Chivas Guadalajara 2014 U.S. summer tour.

Tickets for the Chivas – Cruz Azul match will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, May 22 at 10:00 a.m. PT and are available at www.stubhubcenter.com  and at the StubHub Center box office. 

Now in its ninth annual U.S. tour, Club Deportivo Guadalajara, one of the most historic soccer clubs in Mexico affectionately known as Chivas, will face current CONCACAF Champions League champions and fellow Liga MX club Cruz Azul.

Chivas, the only club in Mexico to exclusively field Mexican players, has captured 11 first division titles and has raised two Copa México trophies. Under the direction of newly appointed Argentinian head coach Carlos Bustos, the team boasts a lineup of standout players, including Aldo de Nigris, former Sporting Kansas City forward Omar Bravo, 2012 Olympic gold medalists Jorge Enriquez and Antonio Rodriguez, and FIFA U-17 World Cup champions Patricio Araujo, Omar Esparza, and Carlos Fierro.
