Friday, May 4 – Boxing: Ryan Garcia vs. Jayson Velez
Golden Boy Boxing returns for another round at StubHub Center. Be here on May 4 at 5:00 p.m. PT as Ryan "The Flash" Garcia (14-0, 13 KOs), who is the brightest rising star in the sport of boxing today, as he faces seasoned Puerto Rican contender Jayson “La Maravilla” Velez (26-4-1, 18 KOs) in a 10-round super featherweight fight live in Southern California.
Saturday, May 5 – Boxing: Gennady “GGG” Golovkin vs. Vanes “The Nightmare” Martirosyan
Undefeated World Middleweight Champion and boxing superhero Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs), from Karaganda, Kazakhstan, boxing's longest-reigning world champion, returns to the ring on Saturday, May 5 at StubHub Center, against two-time world title challenger Vanes “The Nightmare” Martirosyan (36-3-1, 21 KOs), from Glendale, Calif.
The fight will headline an exciting world championship card which will take place, under the stars, at StubHub Center, in Carson, Calif. It's the first time Golovkin has fought in Southern California in over two years. Golovkin has proved himself to be a sterling gate attraction in his previous three fights in the Southland, selling out The Fabulous Forum twice, in 2016 and 2015, and setting the all-time attendance record for boxing at StubHub Center in 2014. Golovkin vs. Martirosyan will be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing beginning at 11 p.m. ET/PT. Not only will this mark Golovkin's first non-pay-per-view fight since 2016, if successful, it will also be his 20th consecutive and record-tying middleweight title defense.
Wednesday, May 9 – LA Galaxy II vs. Saint Louis FC
LA Galaxy II will host Wine Wednesday at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium against Western Conference opponent Saint Louis FC on Wednesday, May 9. The match will feature $3 wines from Barefoot Wine. As is custom, $2 beer and $2 tacos will be on offer.
Serving as the reserve team for the LA Galaxy, LA Galaxy II sits at the top of the development pyramid, bridging the gap between the LA Galaxy Academy and the LA Galaxy. 2018 marks Los Dos fifth year, with five LA Galaxy II graduates currently featuring for the LA Galaxy: Daniel Steres, Dave Romney, Ariel Lassiter, Hugo Arellano and Efrain Alvarez.
Saturday, May 12 – KROQ Weenie Roast
The 26th Annual KROQ Weenie Roast returns to the StubHub Center in Carson on Saturday, May 12th! This year's lineup includes Blink-182, Panic! At The Disco, Rise Against, Dirty Heads, Mike Shinoda, Cold War Kids, The War On Drugs, AWOLNATION, Bishop Briggs, Alice Merton, Manchester Orchestra, James Bay, Nothing But Thieves, and Mt. Joy!
Friday, May 25 – MLS: LA Galaxy vs. San Jose Earthquakes
Watch MLS’ most successful team continue their journey for a 6th MLS Cup title, as Zlatan Ibrahimović, Giovani dos Santos, Jonathan dos Santos and Romain Alessandrini take on San Jose Earthquakes in the first California Clásico of the season.
Saturday, May 26 – USL: LA Galaxy II vs. Las Vegas Lights FC
LA Galaxy II host Las Vegas Lights FC for the first time on Saturday, May 26 at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium.
