Match Recap: Chivas 2-0 Veracruz, Tigres 1-0 Pachuca

Carson, Calif. (July 11, 2016) - In the first match of the night at StubHub Center, Copa MX Clausura 2016 champions Chivas de Guadalajara defeated Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz, the former Copa MX Clausura 2015 champion, for the SuperCopa crown, 2-0. 

Obelin Pineda opened the scoring in the first half, followed by a second goal later in the match by Omar Bravo that secured Chivas a spot in the qualifying round of Copa Libertadores. 

The soccer showcase concluded with Apertura 2015 champions Tigres UANL taking down the Clausura 2016 Champion winners C.F. Pachuca in Campeón de Campeones, 1-0.

Ismael Sosa scored Tigres' lone goal as the team took home the Campeón de Campeones title at StubHub Center on Sunday night.
