LA Galaxy vs. Orange County SC | U.S. Open Cup
The LA Galaxy are set to host USL side Orange County SC at the StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium on Wednesday, June 14 at 7:30 p.m. PT in the fourth round of the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, the longest-standing domestic tournament in the country. Tickets for the match, which will be broadcast live on Spectrum SportsNet and Spectrum Deportes, are on sale now here beginning at just $10 for LA Galaxy Season Ticket Members and $20 for all other fans.
Orange County SC earned a 1-0 win over the Los Angeles Wolves on Wednesday night in the U.S. Open Cup Third Round at Azusa Pacific University to advance to the fourth round contest against the Galaxy.
The Galaxy have recorded a 30-16-1 all-time record in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. They have entered the Open Cup every year since 1999, winning the tournament in 2001 and 2005 while reaching the Open Cup Final on two other occasions. Last year, the Galaxy fell to FC Dallas in the semifinals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, recognized as U.S. Soccer's National Club Championship, is an annual competition open to all amateur and professional soccer teams affiliated with U.S. Soccer. The tournament has crowned a champion for over 100 consecutive years dating from 1914. In 1999, the competition was renamed to honor American soccer pioneer Lamar Hunt.
